Alison led a workshop based on her learning at a Claire Benn workshop held at InStitches (with Claire’s permission).
A lot of us have admired the use of text in quilts and thought it was something we didn’t have the skill to do. I for one have very untidy handwriting at the best of times and couldn’t see my handwritten text adding to anything I made!
This workshop proved many of us wrong – we explored how we can incorporate text not only to convey a message but also to introduce pattern.
Take a look at the variety of examples below all produced on the day!
Saturday also saw the launch of the next challenge – WINE – you may notice some of the group have started on that already!
